We are surrounded by information about food, from the latest diet books to social media posts telling us what we should and shouldn't eat. Finding our way through the noise can be daunting, especially when everyone has a convincing argument, personal story, or piece of research to back up their view.
Although we all rely on food for survival, many of us aren't sure what our body needs from our food and why. When we add sport or exercise into the mix, things get even more confusing.
This is where I can help you - by separating the facts from the fads.

I have a love of food and sport, and the science behind them both. I always enjoyed being active and graduated with a BSc Sport and Exercise Science from Leeds Metropolitan University. In 2014 I went back to studying, graduating with an MSc Sport and Exercise Nutrition from Ulster University and becoming accredited with the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr). This means that you can be comfortable in the knowledge that I have the qualifications and skills required to work as a nutritionist (and that I am insured too!). To keep my accreditation, I have to stay up to date with the latest research and abide by a code of conduct to ensure that I provide evidence-based advice, in a professional, ethical and moral manner.

I work with everyone from professional athletes, weekend warriors, people who are active purely for health or fun and everyone in between. Whoever you are, whatever your activity level, I will help you to balance your diet with the needs of your training and lifestyle.

Whether your sport is swimming, Gaelic football, running, golf, camogie, rugby, gymnastics, cycling, rowing, hockey, basketball, hurling, climbing, archery or triathlon, we will work together to make positive changes that will help you to get the most from your training.
