A great way to add fruit into your snacks and give them a little snap!
This is a really simple and healthy snack that only needs a few ingredients. It’s a great source of protein, calcium and vitamins and a good way to use up any soft fruit. You could make a few different ones.
Get everyone involved in creating their own flavour combinations.
Ingredients
Plain yogurt - 250g
Honey - 1 tbsp
Chopped Fruit - soft fruits work better, such as berries, banana, mango, peaches
Nuts - chopped or crushed
Directions
Mix the yogurt and honey together in a bowl
Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (don't spread it too thinly)
Top with berries and nuts
Lay flat in the freezer and freeze for 6-8 hours
Snap or cut it to pieces and enjoy. Any leftovers can be stored in the freezer in a tub or freezer bag
You can experiment by using flavoured yogurt and toppings such as dried fruit or berries, chocolate chips, fresh mint, or granola.
