Fruit and Yogurt Snap

Leanne

A great way to add fruit into your snacks and give them a little snap!

This is a really simple and healthy snack that only needs a few ingredients. It’s a great source of protein, calcium and vitamins and a good way to use up any soft fruit. You could make a few different ones.

Get everyone involved in creating their own flavour combinations.

Ingredients

  • Plain yogurt - 250g

  • Honey - 1 tbsp

  • Chopped Fruit - soft fruits work better, such as berries, banana, mango, peaches

  • Nuts - chopped or crushed

Directions

  • Mix the yogurt and honey together in a bowl

  • Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (don't spread it too thinly)

  • Top with berries and nuts

  • Lay flat in the freezer and freeze for 6-8 hours

  • Snap or cut it to pieces and enjoy. Any leftovers can be stored in the freezer in a tub or freezer bag

You can experiment by using flavoured yogurt and toppings such as dried fruit or berries, chocolate chips, fresh mint, or granola.
